ELECTRONIC LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

A huge initiative for us, is to be able to help foster an electronic Learning Environment for the students of the school. One of our first goals was to be able to help those students that are preparing to sit the PEP examination to have the technological advantage similar to their peers in other schools.
After much research and exploring the possibilities available to us, we partnered with Ashman Academy to get the grade six students registered unto their learning portal, LearningHub Online. This will give the students access to learning materials, live Zoom after school / extra
lesson classes, marathons for exam preparation and mock exams to help them prepare for PEP.

We also took advantage of an initiative offered by the Ministry of Education, which gives students free access to programmes on LearningHub Online until May 2022. The school was given the necessary instructions to access these programmes and the grades 4 and 5 teachers were encouraged to utilize this offer as well. Our ultimate goal is to have every child in the institution access to these learning resources.

We want to publicly thank Mrs. Latoya Rapley-Scott, who opened her home and provided internet access to some of our students, who needed access to the learning platform, for the after school classes.
Our near future aim is to extend this program to our grades 4 and 5 students.
