The Mamzelle A. Barrett Memorial Award

The Mamzelle A. Barrett Memorial Award is a special award given annually in honour of the late Miss Mamzelle A. Barrett to one outstanding parent. This parent will be recognized as “Parent of the Year” for his or her dedicated service and contribution to the Content Gap Primary School.

CRITERIA FOR AWARD:
Parent MUST be a parent or guardian for a student currently attending the Content Gap Primary School.
Parent MUST be a member of the Content Gap Primary Parent Teachers’ Association (P.T.A) and in good attendance.
Parent should be actively involved in life of their child or children.
Parent should be actively engaged in planned school activities, events and programmes.
Parent should readily volunteers his or her talents and time.
Parent should NOT be the recipient of the Mamzelle A. Barrett Memorial Award for the previous two consecutive years. Please note that the selected parent(s) for the current school year, will not be eligible for selection for the next 2 years. This will allow other parents to be involved in the school welfare.

VALUE OF SCHOLARSHIP:

A monetary award will be given to the Parent of the Year.

The awardee will also receive a small trophy. His/her name will also be imprinted on the large trophy which will be kept at the school.

AWARDING CONDITIONS:

Volunteer hours and the amount of points to be awarded will be determined by the Principal and Content Gap Primary Past Student Association.

The awardee will be assessed and decided based on the vote of the P.T.A. executive along with the Principal’s input.

The awardee will be presented at the annual graduation ceremony of the Content Gap Primary School and the monetary value will be disbursed to the recipient via manager’s cheque.
